Migrating from South Africa in the early 1990s, Stan Katz threw himself into life in Australia with enthusiasm. Building businesses in the sporting, hospitality and food-service industries, he achieved his goal of business success in his new country...along the way building many successful relationships and a happy family life. Always interested in real estate, he added property to his string of achievements after meeting the directors of Bekdon Richards and finding in them a similar level of enthusiasm and energy.
"The energy at Bekdon Richards is infectious," says Stan. A true "people person", he says his success is grounded in an enthusiasm for customer service. Stan believes clear communication is at the heart of every rewarding relationship...from there it's all about setting goals, planning strategy and adhering to Bekdon Richards' commitment to transparency.

"It's vital that vendors can trust our expertise and our commitment....and it's vital that potential buyers can trust our information and advice. "There's no greater testament to Stan's integrity than his history as an entrepreneur. "I've built and sold a number of businesses over the years and I'm proud to say that I have maintained an ongoing relationship with every one of the new owners," he says. "The fact that I am still called upon to offer advice and share in the achievements of those businesses is testament to the integrity I bring to all business dealings."

Married for more than three decades, Stan is a committed family man and a proud father of three adult sons - now each making their own way in their chosen professions. Racquetball, golf and tennis all keep Stan active...as does keeping up with his wife, Patti, who works as a professional tennis coach. A committed volunteer, Stan is deeply involved with his community...and has recently moved to within just a few steps of the Bekdon Richards office!
