A Civil Engineering graduate with 20 years' experience marketing IT infrastructure to small and medium business, John Ke is a uniquely qualified agent with a refined appreciation for architecture, a strategic view of marketing, and a strong awareness of the importance of systems and technology.

With a business approach formed in the world of Information Technology, it's no surprise that John brings a methodical and highly-organised approach to all his sales. "We recognise that people don't buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons", he says. "But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be logical in our marketing and negotiation. I find that like most business transactions, real estate sales require a deep understanding of the client's requirements. But John's skills go beyond fully-utilising Bekdon Richards' technological expertise. A resident of Australia for over 25 years and fluent in Mandarin and Hokkein, John's ability to communicate and network knows no borders - cutting through cultural and linguistic differences so that his clients' properties can be globally marketed in a level playing-field.

"As a member of the Chinese community at home and abroad, I am strongly positioned to explore every opportunity for my clients' properties," he says. "It's very rewarding to match buyers from different backgrounds with local vendors and vice-versa. Vendors who are not clearly and astutely communicating to Asian buyers are doing themselves a disservice.
